Coronavirus Advice

Dear Valued Guest,

We are monitoring the news of the continued Coronavirus outbreak very carefully and at this time there is no advice in place that recommends against travel to any British destinations.  We continue to monitor this regularly and will issue further communications should this change. In line with current government advice please regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and hot water. At this stage this is the best defence to keep you and those around you in good health.

Customer and Employee Health and Wellbeing

Customer health and wellbeing is of paramount importance to us at The Auckland Hotel and you can rest assured that we are taking all necessary precautions advised by public health and the government and monitoring the news very closely to ensure we take any actions necessary to protect our customers and employees.

As a precautionary measure we have increased the frequency that we sanitise the most touched points in our hotel such as door handles and handrails. In order to help limit the possible spread of Coronavirus, please follow the advice as recommended by the NHS:

  • DO Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
  • DO– Put used tissues in the bin immediately
  • DO– Wash your hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds- use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • DO– Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • DON’T– Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth

Symptoms of Coronavirus

Coronavirus symptoms start with a high temperature (fever), a dry cough and can go on to lead to shortness of breath.

If you have these symptoms, it does not necessarily mean you have the illness, as these symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

If you become unwell whilst you are on holiday

Please contact the Reception team and ring NHS 111

We are committed to ensuring that we play our part in minimising the spread of the virus, whilst also ensuring your holiday goes as smoothly as possible.  Any advice provided will be in accordance with Public Health and NHS guidance, with the health and safety of our customers and employees as our priority.
